REVIEW

 This was an enjoyable first book in Kathleen Brooks new Women of Power series. Elle and Drake are both strong characters and I enjoyed the romance. It was fun exporing the secondary characters more through being suspects in the underlying mystery.

The first several chapters of this book had been released as a stand-alone short story, and worked well as a short story. I was surprised at how well Brooks was able to expand it easily into a full novel, since the couple had essentially come together already in the short story.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
