Book Review - One Hundred Horses by Elle Marlow

Grey Fox grew up listening to tales about a love so passionate and rare that it has become worth more than all the horses upon the face of the Earth. He doesn’t believe any of it until the day he finds the rancher woman injured and near death after an attack by Brother Lion. Grey Fox now knows that it will be impossible to fulfill the dreams of a love so magnificent that he would give up everything to win the heart of a woman who is not of his people.
Sarah will do anything to escape. She cannot not possibly be the girl the Comanche predicted would come into their world and be the woman of this great love. But as time and suffering pass like petals on the wind, Sarah will come to realize that the only ties that bind her are the ones around her heart.
When I began this book, I was sure I wasn't going to like it. While I do enjoy historical romances, I don't usually like stories with mystical and spiritual elements guiding the love story. After reading a few pages, I quickly was able to get over my initial hesitation because the story and the characters were so well written. Would I have enjoyed it more if the romance were not predestined from the beginning? Maybe. But Marlow does a great job of incorporating that, as well as the character's reaction to that, easily into the story.
I have read a few of Marlow's stories now and have enjoyed all of them. She is a great story teller and anyone who loves a good romance will love her books.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Married to the perfect cowboy to inspire her, it is easy to understand where she gets her many stories and inspiration.
Of Irish/Shawnee decent. Native love stories are her favorite.
Hoping one day Kevin Costner will put her on his team of writers for his next big epic.
