Blog Tour - Taken by a Trillionaire

Synopsis

Three New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors.
One wild project.

Taken by a Trillionaire is an escapism fantasy that was born at a party at RWA. Over cocktails, J.S. Scott, Melody Anne, and Ruth Cardello laughed as they plotted this book with the help of two industry friends, Chris and Brian.

If you are looking for a historically accurate representation of a monarchy or a serious depiction of how royals maintain their bloodlines, this may not be the book for you. If you love larger than life characters and fun storylines that take you to exotic places with sexy alpha men, then welcome to our imaginary kingdom: Rubare Collina. The men are insanely rich, the traditions are potentially deadly, and the sex will leave you craving a night on this dark isle.

If you’ve ever fantasized about what it would be like to be swept off your feet—or tossed over a prince’s shoulder and taken—then you’ll enjoy our trilogy.

Novella One: Xander by Ruth Cardello

Royal Prince Xander Demande needs to choose a wife before his thirtieth birthday, or he will lose his crown. His list of potential candidates is long but shortens to one woman after a brief encounter with the socially inept, but beautiful and brilliant, Dr. Reanna Fielding. She never thought Prince Charming would come for her. He never thought any woman would melt his heart. Love makes its own rules, but will it save her when she defies not only him but the laws of his kingdom? In Rubare Collina, a marriage proposal can be a dream come true—or a death sentence.

Novella Two: Bryan by J.S. Scott

Get married . . . or die. Prince Bryan Demande was left with only two unpalatable choices. When he decides to take his chances rather than marry, his father and the busybody royal adviser take matters into their own hands.

Like it or not, Bryan is delivered a kidnapped bride, and it isn't a woman who's a total stranger. She's an American female who has haunted his dreams for the last five years, the only woman who has ever wanted him without his trillions of dollars or his royal title. Suddenly, marriage doesn't look like such a bad option to Bryan, but he'll have to convince his angry, kidnapped, bride-to-be that she belongs with him.

Novella Three: Chris by Melody Anne

Christopher Demande wants nothing to do with marriage and is willing to renounce his title to the throne to prove it. That is until he meets independent Adara Burnadette and decides he must have her. Unfortunately, Adara is opposed to marriages of convenience. So what does a young prince do when his chosen bride refuses his proposal? He kidnaps her of course.

Book Review - Heat Exchange by Shannon Stacey

ABOUT THE BOOK

Lydia Kincaid's shipping back to Boston, but she's not happy about it. She left to get away from the firefighting community—her father was a firefighter, her brother's a firefighter and, more importantly, her ex is a firefighter. But family is number one and her father needs her help running the pub he bought when he retired. Soon, Lydia finds it hard to resist the familiar comfort and routine, and even harder to resist her brother's handsome friend Aidan.
Aidan Hunt is a firefighter because of the Kincaid family. He's had the hots for Lydia for years, but if ever a woman was off-limits to him it's her. Aside from being his mentor's daughter, she's his best friend's sister. The ex-wife of a fellow firefighter. But his plan to play it cool until she leaves town again fails, and soon he and Lydia have crossed a line they can't un-cross.
As Aidan and Lydia's flirtation turns into something more serious, Lydia knows she should be planning her escape. Being a firefighter's wife was the hardest thing she's ever done and she doesn't know if she has the strength to do it again. Aidan can't imagine walking away from Boston Fire—even for Lydia. The job and the brotherhood are his life; but if he wants Lydia in it, he'll have to decide who's first in his heart.
Book one of Boston Fire

REVIEW

This is a great character driven romance. Lydia’s complicated relationship with her family makes her interesting and relatable. Aidan also has a complicated relationship with his family that would have been nice to have explored a little more, but still made it easy to understand the choices he makes and how important being a Firefighter is to him. The secondary characters were also all well written and make me look forward for future books in this series. This is more than just a light summer read, but still quick and enjoyable.

“..an exquisitely written and complex story brimming with pride, passion, and pulse-pounding danger... Readers will gladly make time to savor this winning finale to a wonderful series.” –Publishers Weekly, Starred Review
“Bybee concludes her popular Weekday Brides series in a gratifying way with a passionate, troubled couple who may find a happy future if they can just survive and then learn to trust each other. A compelling and entertaining mix of sexy, complicated romance and menacing suspense.” –Kirkus Reviews

The Weekday Brides never disappoint and this final installment is by far Bybee’s best work to date..” –RT Book Reviews, 4 ½ Stars, Top Pick!

REVIEW

I fell in love with Gabriella in the previous book and continued to find the character charming and lovable.  After the horrible ordeal she had been through, it would have been understandably difficult for her to be comfortable in another relationship.   At first Hunter seems like the last person she should be with, but as he tries to win over Gabi, he won me over as well.  Bybee has once again written an exceptional strong heroine who is able to go toe-to-toe with a dominating hero and have unbelievable chemistry.  Bybee fans will not be disappointed, and any fan of a witty romance will want to read this book.

The Hostile Operations Team is back in this thrilling new novel of suspense by a USA Today bestselling author!

REVIEW

Another great book by Lynn Raye Harris.  She continues to write great stories with interesting characters and puts a new and different spin each time on these special forces hotties!  Emily is a strong female character with just the right amount of vulnerability.  Ryan is a good guy just trying to do the right thing, and it was nice to read about a male hero who wasn't broken, just trying to be a good guy.

Book Review - Hot in the Hamptons - Summer Sins by Jennifer Probst

BOOK REVIEW - SUMMER SINS BY JENNIFER PROBST:

Probst does a great job in this Novella getting in creating good characters and a well written story that doesn't feel rushed.  Storme and Holden are both fun and likable characters.  This entire trilogy of books are meant to be good summer reads, and this certainly fits the bill.  Nothing heavy, but just a fun, light, and engaging story.

Book Review - Jax: Breaking the Declan Brothers by Kelly Gendron

ABOUT THE BOOK

“Some boys can get rough, some don’t always listen when you tell them to stop, and some boys, they’re just monsters. You gotta be careful who you play with…” ~ Jax Declan

I’m a tease, always have been. In my teens, Jax Declan tried to warn me about staying away from the bad boys. The only boy I ever wanted was Jax. But, no matter how much I tried to play with him, he rejected me.
I haven’t seen Jax Declan in years. A couple friends and I are going back to the Bayou for the summer. A little older now, and a bit wiser, I’ve decided that I’m going to find my teenage crush and I’m going to break him. This summer Jax Declan will play with me.
But the closer I get and the more I learn about the reserved, discreet, and sexy Jax Declan. Well, I’m starting to think that Jax Declan might just be one of those bad boys he tried to warn me about all those years ago.

Warning ~ This book contains explicit sex scenes, graphic language, and is intended for mature audiences.

REVIEW

It is very rare that erotic books turn out to be well written have interesting stories, but Jax breaks the norm.  Jax and Emmie are captivating characters who are more than a good girl and a bad boy who are drawn to each other.  The story flows quickly and the books is definitely hot and left me wanting to read about the rest of Emmie’s friends and Jax’s brothers.

Book Review - Frisk Me by Lauren Layne

ABOUT THE BOOK

Officer Luc Moretti had no idea that his dive into the East River would have him drowning in a media frenzy. No matter how many times he tells reporters he was just doing his job, they're determined to make him into NYC's newest hero. Coming from a long line of NYPD's finest, Luc knows that being a cop has nothing to do with headlines and viral videos, and he's more than ready to get back to life away from the cameras-until he meets the gorgeous but jaded journalist assigned to film a TV special on him . . .

Ava Sims may be the only woman in NYC who isn't in love with Officer Moretti. That's why she's going after the real story-to find out about the man behind the badge. Ava's determined to keep things strictly professional, but the more time she spends around Luc, even she has to admit there's something about a man in uniform . . . and she can't wait to get him out of his.

REVIEW

I loved this book.  I fell in love with Luc and his entire family and I can't wait to read about them.  Ava and Luc both find themselves very defined by their families, in both good and bad ways, and their jobs put them at odds with each other from the beginning.  It was fun to watch them work through all of their family and career issues as they fought the attraction between each other.  This book is exactly what I've come to expect from Lauren Layne and her books just keep getting better and better.

This is a quick read about family and tragedy and how it pulls people together.  Aiden and Zoe are engaging characters that are easily relatable.  Zoe is a no-nonsense heroine and easy to root for as a reader.  This is a great start to a new series and look forward to reading more books by this author.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.
