Book Review - Never Goodbye by Ruth Carello (Free on Kindle Unlimited!)

ABOUT THE BOOK

In the Barrington family, Ian is the fixer. He lives a double life—one that has provided him with the skills to save his family more than once. Reuniting with the brother they’d all believed was dead has shaken him to the core. He is driven to find the responsible party regardless of the consequences.

Claire Wendell’s best friend recently married into the very powerful, very troubled Barrington family. When she stepped away from her own life to help Annie and Kade settle into theirs, she had no idea it would put her on a possible suspect list.

She’s bold enough to stand up to Ian and intuitive enough to see past his anger, but love may not be enough to protect the family when the truth about the woman who raised Kade is revealed.

How important is the truth?

Is it worth losing everything?

REVIEW

With the previous book, it seemed that most of the mystery around the Barrington family was solved, however, Never Goodbye begins with a new mystery as well as comedy that Cardello writes so well. The way Cardello writes the family dynamics of the Barringtons and the character growth of Ian, in particular, is truly special and the way Kade and Claire's relationship is written feels natural and the conflict never feels forced. Finally the comedy! With the serious story and plot of the book you wouldn't expect there to be a comedy, but Cardello is able to write these scenes along with the serious, and they are truly laughing out loud funny. I've been a fan of Ruth Cardello's for a long time and this is such a great example of how her writing has grown more complex and feels effortless to read.
OVERALL RATING - 5 STARS!
MATURITY RATING - 18+ a little steamy

"Wow hot at every page. Heart stopping, fear raging, mind blowing wonderful."

"I'm a true fan of Ms. Cardello. I ran on to her first book a few years back and have been hooked ever since. I could go on and on about the story like of this book, but I'm not. All of her books are total page turners, unique, heart wrenching, and I love them all. There isn't two alike in the bunch and I feel like i know the characters personally. I personally read 97 authors books. And I buy every book they put out. This author is in my top 10. Great job and keep them coming."

"Love this series. Got me to start reading again. I look forward to the next book. Thank you for giving me the love of reading back."

Ruth Cardello was born the youngest of 11 children in a small city in northern Rhode Island. She spent her young adult years moving as far away as she could from her large extended family. She lived in Boston, Paris, Orlando, New York--then came full circle and moved back to New England. She now happily lives one town over from the one she was born in. For her, family trumped the warmer weather and international scene.

She was an educator for 20 years, the last 11 as a kindergarten teacher. When her school district began cutting jobs, Ruth turned a serious eye toward her second love- writing and has never been happier. When she's not writing, you can find her chasing her children around her small farm or connecting with her readers online.
