Book Review - It Had to Be Them by Tamra Buamann - Free on Kindle Unlimited

ABOUT THE BOOK

Kline Grant has traveled the world for more than a decade to avoid going back home—and to make sure she doesn’t see Ben, her former fiancĂ©. But her mother’s recent health troubles make it impossible for Kline to stay away. She plans to check on her mom, avoid Ben, and then get back on the road again. But the quirky town locals of Anderson Butte, a private little celebrity hideaway in the picturesque mountains of Colorado, have a very different plan.
Ben Anderson, the town’s handsome and beloved doctor, once broke Kline’s heart for reasons he’s never explained. When he figures out her mother’s scheme to trick her into coming home, he enlists the meddling townspeople’s help to make things right again with Kline. Then Ben plans to win her back. But as the former flames come face-to-face, old wounds ache, hurtful secrets emerge, and sparks fly with the heat between them that’s never cooled. Will the truth be enough to heal two broken hearts, or will it keep them apart forever?

REVIEW

Easy to ready second chance romance.  I've loved this series and the Anderson family so far, and while this wasn't my favorite, the book was still good and up to the standards set by Baumann.  She does a great job of making Ben and Kline real characters with flaws and quirks that make them human and relatable.  She paints a picture of small-town life that feels realistic to a city girl and at the same time a little off-beat.  I recommend this to anyone looking to get away for a few hours and enjoy a quick easy read with some relatable characters.

OVERALL RATING - 4 STARS!
MATURITY RATING - 18+ a little steamy

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Besides reading, I like to travel and have fun adventures with my family. I’m addicted to all of Bravo’s Housewives reality shows because certain traits of those women make for great characters in my books. It’s just an added bonus to live vicariously in their closets. And I love to see the singers on The Voice living their dreams. I’ve always been tempted to apply to be a contestant on Survivor, but I chicken out every time I get to the application part. I really like to be clean, sleep on something soft at night, hate bugs and I enjoy having at least two meals a day. I wouldn’t last a week on that show.
