Ahmed was introduced in the first book of the Bluegrass Undercover series, and has remained a prominent secondary character throughout.  I was already in love with the character prior to this book because of his dry sense of humor and how he had been such a good friend to all of the other residents in Keeneston.  Brooks has done a great job of creating a character that is one of the most loved in the series, who also happens to be a hired assassin.  I had a lot of expectation for Ahmed’s book, and Brooks did not disappoint.  Bridget makes a great companion for a dark character like Ahmed.  The mutual respect they have for each other and their abilities makes the relationship work in ways no other relationship could with Ahmed. I was glad that Brooks added an epilogue of sorts at the end to catch the readers up on the characters over the next few years.  I know I for one will miss my book friends in Keeneston, but the epilogue softened the blow o...
